Want to see what’s brand new, pun intended? When we have permission from our clients to show off our work for them, we’ll post some examples here. Often times we are hired as the secret ingredient to someone else’s creative pie, and in those cases we are sworn to secrecy and cannot brag about our newborns.

Our first client as a company was easy to spot . . . in the mirror. We named ourselves and created our tagline and logo back in 2000. A few years after our launch, the devastating Indian Ocean tsunami ravaged that region and made us seriously consider changing our own name. But our clients reminded us that not all big waves bring destruction, and we were encouraged to ride out that sad time and remember that our name is based in “surname” and “tsunami.” Our waves of creativity only bring good and new life to brands.

And Surnami's first golden child (drum roll, please) was:

Following name development and testing, Sanctuare was chosen as the new name for RMI. And "Quintessential Hideaways" was adopted as the company's new tagline. Surnami managed and implemented each step of the transformation: initial profiling of the project objectives, name development, trademark searches and competitive analysis, name testing and research analysis with targeted audiences, name selection, tagline development and selection, logo creation and corporate collateral.

As an example of a local-market brand creation, Surnami created the identity (name, tagline and logo) for a fitness trainer catering to the upscale market in downtown Chicago:
